The Beginning of a Legacy: Roberto Duran and Legacy Steps #1

I had never heard of Roberto Duran until a pivotal moment in Sophie’s journey. After receiving the gait lab results from Dayton Children's, we discovered that Sophie’s speed had increased by 15%, her in-toeing was reduced by 15%, and she had 5.1% more support than the AFO. The results were life-changing, and I shared this news on Facebook, overjoyed by the progress we were making with the Invisabrace.

The next day, one of my friends, T.J., reached out to me. He knew Roberto Duran—the legendary boxer known as the "Hands of Stone"—and had shared my story with him. To my surprise, Duran was moved by what we were doing for Sophie and kids like her. He asked if I would create a legacy shoe in his honor. Although other companies had approached him with similar offers, my story resonated with him.

At that moment, I had only made one shoe—for Sophie. I hadn’t made any money from it yet, but I knew we were on the verge of something that could change the world. Roberto Duran believed in that vision, and that’s when the idea for the Legacy Steps line was born.

Building a Shoe with Purpose

Roberto Duran’s legacy is one of strength, perseverance, and connection to the people. In that spirit, I decided that if you have a legacy as strong as Duran’s and you’re a champion for the people.

This is the world’s first case study focusing on the gait patterns of disabled children, and it’s an honor to be a part of something so impactful. We’re rolling out each legacy shoe in limited batches of 1,000 pairs at a time for a total of no more than 10,000 pairs, and the funds will not only support these studies but also help advance orthotic technologies like the Invisabrace and InvisaSole—Medicare and Medicaid-approved devices.

Join the Fight: Roberto Duran's Legacy Shoe

The first shoe in the Legacy Steps line, inspired by Roberto Duran, launches on December 8' 2024, in Saint Charles, MO. This isn’t just a shoe—it’s a movement. A portion of every sale will help fund research and support for children like Sophie, who are fighting for a better future.

If you have an incredible legacy, we’re building your shoe. Together, we’ll create something that makes a difference!

In just one month, I reached out to legends like Hulk Hogan, Rick Flair, and Mike Tyson—each of them understanding the importance of this fight. Mike Tyson even asked me to create his own InvisiSole and shoe. These incredible icons see the value in what we're doing, and I continue to pray that Roberto Duran's Legacy Shoe takes off. With its success, not only will we raise awareness for children with cerebral palsy, but we hope the proceeds will allow us to keep moving forward, recoup our costs, and expand this life-changing mission. I believe that with every step, we're making the world a better place for children like Sophie. This is just the beginning, and together, we can create a future where no child is left behind.

I deeply believe in the life-changing potential of the InvisaBrace, but as one person, I can't keep up with the demand. The boy in Minnesota outgrew his brace, and while I haven't been able to send a new one yet, the need is urgent. This is too important to stop here. Despite no outside donations, my family and I have given everything to make this possible. I need your help to continue sharing this blessing with the world.
