Our Story
Faith Over CP began with our daughter Sophie and our family's experience with cerebral palsy. Our search for footwear and orthotic options inspired the early prototypes and the work that continues today.
We want adaptive footwear and clear information to be easier for families to find. Sophie's experience guides our work, alongside questions that require further testing and input from qualified clinicians.
The shoes in our store, the Invisa designs and the downloadable CAD have different purposes. Choose Explore Invisa to understand those differences and review what the available evidence does—and does not—show.
Our mission is rooted in family, dignity and inclusion. We share our story to help families ask informed questions and find the right support for their individual needs.
Our Inspirations
Inspired by Sophie
Our family's experience inspired the Sophie Boot and the continuing development of InvisaBrace and InvisaSole. We aim to make footwear easier to use while keeping individual needs at the center of the design.
Learning as we develop
Early prototypes and family experiences help us decide what to investigate. They do not establish that a design is suitable for everyone or that current products have the same performance as an earlier prototype.

Michael Urbanowicz
Executive Director | Founder
Michael Urbanowicz is the founder and Executive Director of Faith Over CP. His daughter Sophie's experience with cerebral palsy inspired his work on adaptive footwear and the Invisa designs.
Michael brings a parent's perspective to design, advocacy and conversations with families. He continues to develop ideas, review evidence and share what the family has learned.
His goal is to make useful information and adaptive footwear easier to access while recognizing that each person's clinical and fitting needs are individual.

Brittany Urbanowicz
Deputy Executive Director
Brittany Urbanowicz serves as Deputy Executive Director of Faith Over CP and is the heart that anchors the organization’s mission. As Sophie’s mother, Brittany brings an unwavering commitment to advocacy, compassion, and execution—ensuring that every initiative remains grounded in the real needs of families navigating disability.
From the earliest days of Faith Over CP, Brittany has been instrumental in transforming vision into action. Her leadership spans family outreach, program development, partnerships, and community engagement, always with a focus on dignity, inclusion, and long-term impact.
Brittany’s dedication extends beyond operational leadership; she is a trusted voice for parents and caregivers who often feel unseen or unheard. Her work ensures that Faith Over CP is not only innovative, but deeply human—built on empathy, resilience, and the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to move, grow, and thrive.
Sophie Urbanowicz
Inspiration | Heart of the Mission
Sophie Urbanowicz is the inspiration behind Faith Over CP. Her experience with cerebral palsy led our family to explore footwear and orthotic options, including the early Invisa designs.
Sophie's determination, joy and everyday experiences continue to guide our work. Her story is personal; it does not predict how a product or prototype will work for another person.
She reminds us why dignity, inclusion and listening to families belong at the heart of every design decision.
Gabe Urbanowicz
Family Advocate | Big Brother
Gabe Urbanowicz plays a quiet but powerful role within Faith Over CP as Sophie’s big brother and a constant source of encouragement. Growing up alongside Sophie has shaped Gabe’s deep understanding of inclusion, patience, and advocacy.
Through his bond with Sophie, Gabe represents the siblings who walk this journey too—learning empathy early, celebrating progress, and standing proudly beside their loved ones. His presence reflects the family-centered foundation of Faith Over CP and the belief that disability impacts families as a whole, not just individuals.
Gabe’s role is a reminder that Faith Over CP is built not only for children with disabilities, but for the families who support them every step of the way.
