The Promise Was Kept: Sophie’s Shoes and Our Family’s Story
Sophie wanted something simple: shoes like her mom’s. Brittany and I made her a promise, and we kept working to make it happen.
I’ve tried to capture this story along the way, but it’s hard to tell it while you’re living it. This short video brings together a few of those real family moments: early boot fittings in November 2022, another fitting in June 2023, and a pink SophWear high-top in February 2026.
Today, Sophie and Brittany wear the same shoes. The promise was kept.
The names carry people we love, too. Sophie has a shoe named after her. So does our son Gabe. And Joe’s name carries the memory of my best friend, who has passed away.
Faith has been at the heart of this journey. We’re grateful to everyone who has encouraged our family and followed along.
